News and Announcements

Back to School

Jones Elementary is excited to announce that we are offering all All-Day Pre Kindergarten program this year. We are not alone in this endeavor, as AVANCE will be extending their program to a full day as well. In order to keep students safe, we will need your help and patience implementing a few changes to our end of day procedures. The students attending Head Start, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten will be dismissed by teachers at the gate facing Edwards street. This area is only for our little ones in Head Start, Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten as they cannot ride the bus or walk home. The older students in first through fifth grade will continue to dismiss from the back pick-up area under the playground pavilion, to the buses or they may walk home. This will ensure the safety of our younger students.
If you child rides the bus, please make sure that you stop by the school office and provide a current proof of residency. This must be submitted each year in order for your child to ride the school bus.
Dr. Tonya Senne, Principal
